Debra Pollarini

I’m a multidisciplinary artist who works with different media. My expertise starting with contemporary photography analogue film negatives prints. My works explore by female gaze humans and physical intersection into a contemplative narrative. My interests are frequently centred on women’s identities and representations. I develop my own artistic narrative to transform intimate stories into participate actions.

Through a poetic interpretation, my artwork invites intimate and philosophical engagement combined with accessible simplicity and a minimalist aesthetic. The directions of my research are driven by investigating altered consciousness, unconsciousness, observing the relationship between rationality and sensibility in human in perception influenced from Eastern philosophy to Western culture.

I use different media: analogue & photography, mixed media paintings, video and sound.

I was recently included as the featured artist in Create Magazine and is studying towards a MA (Fine Art) in Art & Science at Central Saint Martins University.
